How To View Photos On A Computer Screen
Taking photos with your digital camera is only half the story. Once you’ve got the pictures you want you need to be able to see them – and not just on the small screen on the camera either.
Viewing them on your computer screen is a good choice, and you can also view them in a larger size and edit them if you need to. It’s quite a simple process to view them like this as well, and you might find there is more than one way you can do it.
First off, look at the front of your computer to see if you have a memory card slot on there. You may have several, depending on what computer you have and how new it is. Find the right slot and plug the card straight in. Autoplay then runs, giving you various different options including importing the pictures or viewing them. You will then need to select the relevant option.
If you select view your computer won’t download them; it will merely let you see them. If you want to download them as well you’ll need to specify that is what you want.
If your computer doesn’t have a card slot you can buy a separate card reader if you wish that lets you do the same thing. You just have to plug this into your computer.
Another method you can use depending on the model of your camera is to connect your digital camera to your computer with a USB cable. Instead of taking the photographs directly from the memory card it will take them via your camera instead.
Whichever way you choose to view the pictures on your computer screen, always remember not to unplug or disconnect anything while the transfer is taking place. Your computer will tell you when it is safe to do so. Until then, keep things plugged in and don’t attempt to take the memory card out. This will preserve them for you.
Once the pictures are on your computer you can enjoy viewing them on the screen as often as you like.
